Lost'n Found

Lost’n Found is a collection that transforms forgotten, discarded objects like street signs and skateboards into vibrant, whimsical art, celebrating creativity and the beauty of reclamation.

Lost’n Found is a collection that brings new life to discarded and forgotten objects, transforming them into vibrant pieces of art. From old road signs to worn-out skateboards, I’ve always been fascinated by how something that’s been abandoned can be turned into something new, exciting, and meaningful. This project is a celebration of reclaiming the old and making it part of the creative process.

One of the standout pieces from the collection is a reclaimed No Trespassing sign. I painted a mischievous black cat creeping across the surface, adding character to an otherwise stern and unwelcoming object. This feline guardian adds an element of whimsy to the harsh message, giving the sign a new personality. The mix of sharp reds and soft, playful brushstrokes creates an interesting contrast — something that catches your eye and keeps you looking.

Cats, often seen as protectors and symbols of independence, make for the perfect character in this piece, turning the old sign into something you’d want hanging in a stuffy cold space. The juxtaposition of the bold warning and the playful cat was exactly what I wanted to convey: finding the balance between what’s been forgotten and what can still shine through.
