ABOUT

Art is the lie that tells the truth. - Jean Cocteau

WYNN NICHOLS

I DON'T DO DRUGS.
I AM DRUGS.

A true artist is not one who is inspired but one who inspires others. - Salvador Dali

I’m a student, an artist, and a researcher who’s constantly exploring the boundaries of creativity. As student council president with a 4.0 GPA, I’m committed to pushing myself both in and out of the classroom. I’ve taken and completed several honors classes, further challenging myself academically. I was also the editor of my school newspaper, where I honed my love for storytelling. Art is my way of expressing what words can’t always capture. I’m into drawing, screen printing, making stencils, and spray painting. I love anything that allows me to create with my hands. My Polaroid camera is my go-to for capturing life’s candid moments. Oh Fun Fact, I designed a Ty Beanie Boo named Wynnie! Life has thrown a few curveballs my way. After going through multiple brain surgeries, a year of chemo, and two rounds of radiation, I’ve learned to live fully, create freely, and embrace every moment. Music is my constant companion — especially classic rock, grunge, and old school punk, which are the perfect soundtracks for my journey. This is just the start of my story. Thanks for stopping by.

Wynnie The Parrot

I designed a Ty Beanie Boo

One of the most surreal experiences of my life was designing a Beanie Boo — Wynnie. Growing up, Ty Beanie Boos were more than just toys to me; they represented creativity, joy, and a little bit of magic. So, when the opportunity came to work with Ty Warner himself, I couldn’t believe it.

"You made such a fantastic impression on all of us at Ty Inc. Please know we think of you often and can't wait to see the amazing things you do as you grow up!" - Ty Warner & The Ty Inc. Team

I AM Student Council President

The day I decided to run for Student Council President, I knew it wouldn’t be easy. But with a great support team (my parents), creative campaigning, and a lot of passion, I managed to pull off a memorable win. I’m excited to share the journey with you and reflect on what it took to lead a campaign, gain support, and come out victorious.

It all started when I realized that as student council president, I could make a real impact on our school. I wanted to be the voice of my peers, someone who could bring fresh ideas to the table and create a positive atmosphere for everyone. And that’s when the decision became clear — I was going to run. I’d already been involved in school activities and had worked as editor of our school newspaper, but this was a whole new challenge. I wanted to bring energy, creativity, and leadership to our school, and I knew I could do it. But first, I had to get the votes.

From Diagnosis to Determination

How My Cancer Became the Catalyst for Art

Personal challenges can feel like insurmountable obstacles on the road of success, and when I was diagnosed with brain cancer at age nine, I was worried my life would never be the same. I couldn’t play with my friends, run outside, and the function of my left hand was partially lost after my first surgery. I was right, cancer dramatically altered my life. Yet, surprisingly, it transformed my journey for the better.
